Porter Shifflett is an executive with over 30 years of experience in the Organizational Capability, Human Resources, and Business Consulting disciplines. He brings a diverse set of skills and expertise developed working in industries that range from Finance/Capital Markets, Telecommunications, Hospitality, and most recently Med-Tech.
He is a detail-oriented professional who has supported both enterprise-wide and discipline specific initiatives at multiple Fortune 500 companies. A proven leader who successfully partners with business leaders as a trusted advisor to deliver Organizational Design, HR Strategy & Execution, Process Re-engineering, Financial & Business Analysis, and Project Management in complex and highly matrixed global environments.
During his time at Marriott International, Porter led efforts to integrate into Marriott the newly acquired Starwood portfolio of hotels as well as the multi-year evolution of the Ritz-Carlton brand within Marriott’s backend eco-system. Specifically, the efforts with the Ritz-Carlton involved developing organizational designs that protected it’s prestigious brand equity while at the same time enabling enhanced organizational efficiency and maintaining the Ritz-Carlton’s status within the customer proposition.
Prior to his recent “re-entry” into the consulting field, Porter worked at Intuitive Surgical, Inc. as a Vice President of HR, where he established and led their Organizational Design & Change Management center of expertise. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree, with honors, in Business with a concentration in Finance from Towson University.
